Sand shoes or reef boots (wet shoes) and thongs or sandals. Make sure you bring shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Reef shoes are very handy and provide good protection for your feet and a good amount of grip. Some guests say that the "croc" style shoes are great.
Long pants and long sleeved shirt for the evenings. This is also a good idea if sandflies are about.
Light, tropical type clothing for daywear.
Bathers for swimming.
Torch and batteries. Head torches are very helpful.
Toiletries, a Travel Towel is usfull for taking ashore. Bath towels are provided.
Sunscreen and hat.
Your own personal water bottle.
Personal Insect Repellent. "RID" and "Bushman's" are effective against sandflies. There is a natural cream called "Locals" which is available at the chemist in Derby which is also proving to be very effective against sandflies.
Some topical anti-itch cream is handy should you be bitten by sandflies. Eurax, stopitch, paraderm plus are all good for this.
Camera and memory cards. We have 240V AC power outlets in each cabin for recharging your camera batteries and running any AC appliances you have.
Luggage should be kept to a maximum of about 10kg per person and be in a soft, overnight size bag. Please do not bring suitcases and it is preferable that you have one smaller bag per person rather than packing for two in a larger bag. It is advisable to bring a small bag or backpack for going on bushwalks to carry water bottles, cameras etc.
