What do I need to pack for one of your safaris?

• Sunglasses, Hat and Sunscreen.
• All your personal toiletries, medications.
• Towel/s (for showering & swimming)
• Light clothing for during the day with a long sleeve shirt / pants for the evenings (especially for cooler months June, July, August)  Bathers, sarongs, beachwear
• Camera and charger – we have 240V recharging facilities aboard the Mahalo II.  Extra memory cards are advisable.
• Footwear – always a very personal thing. A pair of sandals / thongs for going ashore at the beaches plus a pair of old sandshoes that you don’t mind getting wet OR a pair of Reef Boots.
• A small torch of your own
• Personal repellent and anti itch cream such as Soov or Eurax or Paraderm plus. 
• Small back pack and your own water bottle for onshore excursions
• We supply a range of fishing gear aboard the boat.
• If you have favourite rod / reel combo you would like to bring, that is OK too.
• We have lures aboard the boat although feel free to bring a small box of your own.
• Some cash if you would like to purchase souvenirs at Silvergull Creek
• A soft flexible waterproof bag is better than a large suitcase.  Excess luggage can be  stored at our premises in Derby if required.

What is the best time to book?

The waterfalls are best in the early part of the season following our "Wet Season" so April & May are good for waterfalls.  Barramundi fishing is best in the warmer months at the beginning and end of our season so April & October are good for Barra fishing.  July to September are our best months for seeing the humpback whales.  June, July and August are our most popular months as people escape from winter down South and enjoy our lovely dry season weather up here.

Where can I store my vehicle and caravan whilst I am on tour?

Guests leave their vehicles and caravans at the local caravan parks.
